Experience
Joining the Creative Coop in 2012, Alex is also the community manager for Colchester’s street gallery This One Wall.
The local Stitch & Bitch craft club was set up by Alex & Amy in 2011, running at 15 Queen Street every third Tuesday of the month. Each session is run in collaboration with a local artist, and it’s aim is to bring like minded crafty ladies and gentlemen together with textiles.
Her passion with craft has also led Alex on to hosting workshops at the new vintage shop & coffee hut Tea & Sympathy. Showcasing how to make your very own nipple tassels (to make & twirl) for local ladies, hen nights and private parties. This has recently been launched at Tassel Tastic with Miss Fanny Darling.
From her social media experience Alex also hosts twitter workshops and other various crafty sessions about the town.
Alex is self appointed Bike Matron for the new local community bike & coffee shop Chapeau! She can be found hanging out with a double espresso in the shop on Saturday afternoons. Championing lady led rides, she strives to get more people out on their bikes.
Alongside Mike Polom, Alex is part of the design led duo We Are Two Squares. Whipping up illustrations, websites, and maybe even a MOZ plush or two.
Her illustrations & snapshots of Japan can be bought at the Paper Shed Gallery.
Alex also secured the role of Marketing Manger for Essex based classical music festival Roman River Music in 2012.
You might also spot her alter ego Miss Fanny Darling performing with the new Colchester based burlesque group Helles Belles Burlesque.
